Tungsten Carbide Coatings

Tungsten carbide is a metal matrix composite manufactured by mixing tungsten carbide (WC) particles with cobalt powder and subsequently sintering it.

Parts that are performance limited due to abrasion, erosion, or corrosion problems should be considered a candidate for the hardwearing, long lasting property benefits of tungsten carbide.

Tungsten carbide, WC or W2C, is a chemical compound containing tungsten and carbon. Its extreme hardness and density makes it useful in the coating of parts for crome replacement and/or superior wear and corrosion resistance.
